Happy Plastic Free July!

Plastic Free July is a global movement that encourages millions of people to take action and become part of the solution to our growing plastic problem. It’s also a great reminder that small changes can make a BIG difference when it comes to sustainability practices in our lives. Here are some practical tips from our team to help you get started on your plastic-free journey!

Bring your own bag 💛

One of the simplest ways to reduce plastic waste is to carry reusable bags. Keep a couple in your car or handbag so you're always prepared. Not only does this cut down on plastic bag usage, but it also helps you stay organised.

Ditch the single use 🧡

Say no to single use items. Investing in a reusable water bottle is an easy way to save on plastic (and money). Try to plan by bringing reusable versions whenever you can, things like cutlery, coffee cups and take away containers. Keep a set of reusable cutlery and a coffee cup in your bag or at your workplace.

Skip the straw 💙

Unless you have a specific need for one, say no to plastic straws. There are excellent alternatives like metal or bamboo straws if you can’t go without. These options are reusable, easy to clean, and much better for the environment.

Pack & prepare 💚

Instead of relying on plastic wrap or bags, use reusable containers for your meals. Great and more sustainable options are glass containers and stainless steel lunch boxes. Packing your lunch reduces plastic waste, allows you to eat healthier AND save money (lots of wins there!)
